Travel Faux Pas #58

Passport Expiration: the six-month passport rule. This has caught out so many of my friends and family. The expiration date on your passport is actually 6 months in majority of the countries worldwide. This means if you have 5 months left and turn up at the airport- sorry but you’re heading straight home! I know- its crap, but if there was a random reason you get stuck overseas longer than planned, that country wants to ensure that you have a valid passport to eventually travel back home. Note: Indonesia and Australia are prime representatives of this rule!
