Checking Into The Crown Towers Perth

After two years away from my hometown of Perth in Western Australia, I was thrilled to return to a city that underwent a huge transformation. One of the newest and most exciting hotel openings, the Crown Towers Perth, has been on my radar for a while now as word of its decadence hit the media. I was thrilled to stay at the luxe property this month to indulge in the finest hotel experience Perth city has to offer.

The Low Down

The Crown Group are one of the leading hoteliers in Australia, famed for their luxurious suites and world-class casinos. The Towers highly anticipated opening in 2016 came with much success, and with good reason. From the second you pull into the decadent entry and reception area, you instantly feel overwhelmed with the intricate beauty. From fine art to extravagant chandeliers, this is a hotel made for royalty.

The hotel sits on the banks of the Swan River in Burswood, so it’s incredibly well located in the Western capital. The Towers host 500 rooms and suites, but still manage to keep a level of customer service above and beyond that of any other city hotel. I was always happy to see the smiling, attentive staff and immaculate grounds so I can assure you, the hotel experience will leave you feeling satisfied that this is the perfect place to spend your time in Perth.

The Rooms

Walking into room 1206, one of the Crown’s studio rooms, I was simply blown away. The view is unparalleled to any other hotel in Perth, with unobstructed river, city and pool views. It is like something out of a movie with clean, crisp décor and high-end finishes.

The room lighting and window fittings are operated by Samsung tablet or television, giving it that extra-luxe feel. I loved that the room is incredibly fresh and fitting to the modern city that lies on the opposing river bank.

The bathroom area is fit for a princess, with marble finishes, grand bathtub and waterfall shower. The amenities provided are incredibly thorough, down to hair elastic and shoe polish! Don’t forget to pop on the dressing gown and slippers – trust me you will not want to take them off.

The rooms here at the Crown are the ideal sanctuary you need after a long day in the hot Australian sun. The studio rooms, such as this, start at $418 AUD per night.

The Experience

Drawing the blinds on a view incomparable to any other in the West, you have a wealth of options on how to start your day. The immense in-room breakfast menu is always a good choice, but heading up to the Crystal Club Lounge is an experience you cannot miss.

Some rooms come with access to the exclusive lounge, or you can pay the excess charge to a unique private terrace and parlor that transports you to cities like Tokyo and New York. For those with Crystal Club access, you also have a private and personalised check-in experience on the 15th floor, meaning no waiting in the lower lobby. Here you can also nibble canapes and sip on cocktails as the sun sets from 5-7pm, or fill up each morning before you explore with the huge buffet breakfast, sparkling wines and the best Eggs Benedict in town.

The pool and enclave area is immense, with multi-tier swimming pools, private day-beds and bungalows to hire. It was created for lounging all day long, with plenty of pool-side service to go around so be sure to check it out.

The Crown Casino complex is an icon of the city, with a recent influx of mid-twenties patrons, foodies flocking to it’s bounty of restaurants and bars, while the private game rooms welcome high-rollers from across the globe It really is a great way to spend the evening as you have a drink and try your hand at a game of black jack (or my personal favourite, roulette).

The Crown Spa is also one of the best in the region, so be sure to pop in for a facial if you have a spare afternoon. You can be sure to be treated with the utmost care.
